What have we been doing since February 6? Well…

  • Nora is still talking. And talking. And talking some more.
  • We went to Disney World in February. Travis took a zillion pictures. I am not going to upload bunches of them to the blog. Sorry! If you want to hear all about it and see all our pictures, you will have to come for a visit! Or check Travis’ facebook page…he spent a lot of time each night uploading pictures there while we were in Disney. While he slaved away on that project each night, I relaxed in the tub!

A new fishing game and a butterfly kit!

A new fishing game and a butterfly kit!

  • Speaking of butterfly kits, we received the caterpillars that came with the kit in the mail a few weeks ago and have been waiting for them to turn into chrysalides. Today was the big day to transfer the little cocoons from the cup they came in to the big mesh bug house where they will become butterflies. I totally “took one for the team” today when I had to touch one of those nasty little things to get it in the house. I was expecting it to be hard like a rock but it started squirming in my fingers and took me three tries before I could finally hold onto it long enough to transfer it. Talk about the heebie jeebies.
  • We have been thinking about homeschooling for a long time and have decided to take the plunge and “start” this fall for Mary and Elise. I have been enjoying doing lots of used book shopping and have found some great homeschooling resources both locally and online. We are fortunate to have lots of homeschoolers at our church and in the community that I have been able to talk to.

LOVE the goofy and sleepy picture of them in their hats. Too funny! I have a picture of Molly making the exact face as Elise at her birthday party. (The stretching out the mouth pic) That is her silly face, too. You will be a great teacher for your little girls. I bet they are excited.

I remember at the dinner table Travis telling Nora that she just strung together the most words he has ever heard her say. Unfortunately none of us could understand one of them.
